The Charging Handle on the AR-15 is a simple latching design that indexes with the gas key on your bolt carrier group, this allows you to charge your rifle, eject and feed rounds manually.
About this Charging Handle: The Geissele Automatics Super Charging Handle is a fully ambidextrous, dual-levered, gas-busting charging handle designed specifically for the AR platform. Machining the Super Charging Handle from a solid block of 7075-T6 aluminum allows for the levers to be dual contoured with a checkered handling surface to aid with gloved use. The levers themselves have been extended over the standard AR-15 charging handle for faster and easier operation regardless of which side you're charging from. Finally, the rear lip has been raised to help redirect the gas from suppressed or short-barreled rifles away from the shooter's face. All parts are hardcoat anodized in Desert Dirt Color (DDC).
Ambidextrous: This AR-15 charging handle can be manipulated from both sides, improving ergonomics for both left and right-handed shooters.
Latch Style: Extended Latch - Extended Latch Charging handles allow the user more surface area to grip and engage with the charging handle. While this extends just a bit further out from the upper receiver, extended latches are great for users with gloves or those wanting just a bit more leverage.
Platform: This charging handle is designed for the AR-15 platform. This will not work on the LR-308 platform.
