US Tactical 80% Lower US Tactical 80% Lower Receiver is forged from 7075-T6 aluminum for a superior custom build. Precision-milled from the high quality forgings of Anchor Harvey. Operations left to be completed include fire control/trigger group milling, trigger pin, hammer pin, trigger slot, and the safety selector hole. This is not an FFL item and requires machining to complete. These Are The Best Of The Best In 80% Lowers. Returns will not be accepted once the receiver is modified in any way.
80% Lowers can be made in many different materials that each have their benefits in ease of manufacturing and overall finish when complete.
Particularly 7075-T6 Forged Aluminum is what the classic AR-15/M-16 were originally made out of. The suffix "-T6" is an indicator of how the Alloy was heat treated to give it improved strength and corrosion resistance, before bluing or finishing the lower with a cerakote or anodizing.
Many 80% AR-15 Receivers will be made from Forged Aluminum 7075-T6, 6061-T6, and Composite Polymers.
The lower receiver of an AR-15 is essentially the backbone of the weapon everything else is built off of, it is what makes an AR-15 a firearm. An 80% lower receiver is exactly what it says, it is a lower receiver that is 80% complete. By it being 80% complete it is considered a normal part and not a serialized firearm, so it is legal to purchase without the need of going through a background check or a local gun dealer.

One of the most important parts of an AR-15 is the handguard. Handguards have gone through many changes over the years from the plastic clamshell-style to the free float system. Both systems give the shooter a comfortable grip while protecting their hand from the heat that radiates from the barrel. Both systems have many different designs and features built into them but the free float system tends to be more modular. While some of the drop-in handguards offer M-Lok slots and QD mount points, most free float systems offer those same options and usually more available slots. Most handguard options have built-in options for mounting lights, lasers, pop-up sights, etc., and those that don't have them built-in may have M-Lok or Keymod options for mounting accessories. It is recommended that a free-float handguard completely covers the gas system so please consider your gas system length when shopping for a handguard. QD: To simplify the attachment/detachment of your sling, the Slant-Pro handguard comes with 4 QD mounts already machined into it.
Finish: Type 3 hardcoat anodizing is used with the Slant-Pro handguard to increase corrosion resistance.
Cuts: In order to keep structural integrity intact while still saving weight, an oblong cut was designed into this Slant-Pro handguard.
Anti-Rotation Tabs: The anti-rotation tabs equipped on this AR-15 freefloat handguard are used for indexing the handguard top rail to maintain alignment with the top rail of the upper receiver. Handguards with anti-rotation tabs are recommended to be used with Mil-Spec upper receivers or other forged AR-15 uppers as they are too narrow to fit within the dimensions of AR-15 uppers machined from billet aluminum.
