Utilizing a .22 Caliber projectile, the low mass, high-velocity cartridge allows superior weapons handling with manageable recoil and high accuracy. With a wide variety of ammunition choices on the market, 5.56 NATO chambered AR-15s are 'multi-caliber' and can reliably fire both 5.56x45 NATO and .223 Remington cartridges.
