The handguard is an essential piece to any AR-15 custom build. Some of the most popular types of handguards are the freefloat handguards. These types of handguards cover the barrel of the gun and attach to the upper receiver by a barrel nut. Handguards on an AR-15 build perform many crucial functions. One of these functions is that of protecting the shooter's hand from the heat of the barrel. The handguard also provides something to hold on to which gives increased stability to the shooter. Each handguard comes with attachment points for sights/optics while still saving space for additional accessories to be attached which can add to the aesthetic appeal of the build.

It is recommended that handguards cover completely the gas system of the AR-15 so when shopping for a handguard please keep in mind your gas system length. About This Handguard: The MK14 Super Modular Rail from Geissele is an AR-15 Freefloat Handguard that is 13.5" long and machined with an M-Lok accessory mounting system.
Profile: The MK14 freefloat handguard was created with the shooter in mind. For this reason, the MK14 handguard was created with a slim profile for shooters with smaller hands.
Made In USA: All Geissele handguards are precision CNC machined in North Wales, Pennsylvania in the USA.
Anti-Rotation Tabs: This AR-15 freefloat handguard is equipped with anti-rotation tabs for the purpose of maintaining secure alignment of the handguard top rail with the top rail of the upper receiver. Handguards that use anti-rotation tabs are most compatible with Mil-Spec upper receivers or AR-15 upper receivers that are forged, as the anti-rotation tabs are too narrow to fit over a billet AR-15 upper receiver.
Type Of Top Rail: This Super Modular Rail Handguard features a Picatinny rail that spans the entirety of the top of the handguard.
QD: To simplify the attachment/detachment of your sling, the MK14 handguard comes with 2 QD mounts already machined into it.
