Midwest Industries Blast Can for AR-15 5.56/.223
This Midwest Industries Blast Can Muzzle device is not your typical recoil reduction or flash hiding device. The Blast Can is actually designed to direct the muzzle blast forward and is typically used on short barreled rifles and pistols. This device will NOT reduce recoil or flash. It is constructed from 6061 aluminum and features a hard coat anodized finish which should provide you with a lifetime of service. A crush washer is included for your convenience. Like with all Midwest Industries parts and accessories the Blast Can is made right here in the USA.
There are three main types of muzzle devices for your weapon: flash suppressors/flash hiders, muzzle brakes, and compensators. AR-15’s are getting more and more popular every day, partially due to their low recoil and muzzle rise. But with a good muzzle brake, recoil can be reduced even more. With a good compensator, muzzle rise significantly drops, almost vanishing. And while muzzle flash cannot be completely eliminated, it can be significantly reduced with a quality flash hider. These muzzle devices are growing increasingly more popular due to how easy they are to put on, 5-10 minutes with the right tool, because of their incredible efficiency, and because they make a cool looking gun.
About This Muzzle Device: Flash Can - With demand for AR-style pistols on the market, we have started to notice the difficulties that come with having the muzzle closer to a shooter. Specifically the addition of extra muzzle blast. This device eliminates that experience significantly. The blast can compensator is built to direct muzzle blast forward, ensuring that the shooter isn't exposed to the intense blasts from the muzzle. This makes this part a must have for shooters with a shorter barrel.
Threading: 1/2x28 Is a common thread type for muzzle devices made for .22 caliber projectiles, commonly found on AR-15 barrels chambered in .223 Wylde, 5.56 NATO, and including .224 Valkyrie.
Finish: Anodized Type 3 Hardcoat - This coating is exceptionally hard and durable, its qualities which allow it to resist damage due to corrosion and abrasion. Its greater material hardness and thicker oxide layers make it well-suited for applications that require excellent engineering characteristics. These qualities make it a very efficient coating for several different parts of your weapon as seen in military use.
