Strike Industries Miller Comp Muzzle Device - 1/2x28
The Strike Industries Miller Comp is a muzzle device scaled back in size but with no compromises in performance. Engineered to mitigate recoil in the same manner as the SI JCOMP but with the profile modified to be slimmer so that a .750" minimum diameter gas block can slip right over the compensator. When installed, the Miller Comp matches the profile of the host barrel allowing the user to mount or remove a gas block without having to remove the muzzle device. Now the shooter can reconfigure the rile at any time. Barrel nut, gas block, gas tube, and handguard can all be serviced, adjusted, or swapped out with ease. The Miller Comp is intentionally designed to be a perfect pairing with a 14.5" length barrel to ensure the rifle minimum legal length (16") once pin and welded as a permanent muzzle device which makes it considered part of the overall barrel length. Trying to make the pin and welding process as least time-consuming as possible, included in the package is a 2.35mm/3/32" diameter pin as well as a pre-drilled pinhole in the comp. This muzzle device introduces the new Strike Industries Jam Nut as we now give you an easier way to assist in the installation and timing of a muzzle device. The Strike Industries Miller Comp gives you a solution to solving a problem with wanting the shortest rifle legal length barrel setup along with shaving a little bit of weight without sacrificing performance.
There are three main types of muzzle devices for your weapon: flash suppressors/flash hiders, muzzle brakes, and compensators. AR-15’s are getting more and more popular every day, partially due to their low recoil and muzzle rise. But with a good muzzle brake, recoil can be reduced even more. With a good compensator, muzzle rise significantly drops, almost vanishing. And while muzzle flash cannot be completely eliminated, it can be significantly reduced with a quality flash hider. These muzzle devices are growing increasingly more popular due to how easy they are to put on, 5-10 minutes with the right tool, because of their incredible efficiency, and because they make a cool-looking gun.
About This Muzzle Device: Hybrid Compensator & Flash Hider - This device works to both eliminate recoil and hide the flash of the firing gun. This combination helps the shooter have confidence that they will be able to make follow-up shots with greater accuracy while not giving away their position in the field.
Threading: 1/2x28 Is a common thread type for muzzle devices made for .22 caliber projectiles, commonly found on AR-15 barrels chambered in .223 Wylde, 5.56 NATO, and including .224 Valkyrie.
Finish: Manganese Phosphate - Manganese Phosphate finishes are used on barrels to protect against corrosion and wear. Manganese Phosphate finish is considered for its toughness and is used in multiple different applications such as aerospace, ordnance, and other firearms-related parts.
Chambers: This Muzzle Brake has 2 chambers to catch the expanding gasses and divert them to the sides of the shooter, reducing recoil and increasing controllability.
Pin & Weld Ready: Pin & Weld Ready - By permanently “pinning and welding†these muzzle devices to the rifle's barrel, the barrel length will exceed the NFA's 16-inch requirement. For example, if you own an AR with a 14.5-inch barrel. It is classified as a pistol. Even with a 1.5-inch muzzle device, it is still a pistol since the muzzle device is not a permanent piece of the weapon. Purchasing a pin and weld ready device you have the option to permanently weld on the device making your weapon a rifle.
